Grants.gov Overview

Grants.gov is the web site to electronically find and download Grants.gov Grant Application Packages (GAPs). UO is registered as an authorized organization to submit GAPs via Grants.gov.

SPS Pre-Award SPAs are authorized by the University to upload and submit the final GAP for all programs that require submission through the Grants.gov portal. Prior to submission, SPS Pre-Award SPAs review budgets and GAPs for compliance with regulations and guidelines described in each Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).

As the Grants.gov process may require special technical assistance, SPS requires that you submit your final GAP for review at least 3 days prior to the external due date. This provides greater assurance that your proposal will be submitted successfully, allowing time for resubmission of the GAP, if necessary. Upload your GAP at the link within your EPCS record on the left side menu, labeled Grants.gov, for PreAward SPA review.

For Applications being submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), reference the SF424 (R&R) Application guides which are developed and maintained by NIH for preparing and submitting applications to NIH. To download, go to: SF 424 (R&R) Guides
