grant-admin-arch: Grant-Admin-News: September Workshops on NSF FastLane
Starting October 1, 2000, all proposals to the National Science Foundation
must be submitted through the web-based NSF FastLane system. Not only will
all proposals have to be submitted via FastLane, but all other
administrative actions must be processed via FastLane (e.g.,
grantee-approved no-cost extensions, requests for NSF approval on second
extensions or PI leaves, annual and final reports, etc.). More information
on FastLane is available on ORSA's web site under Features at
http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~orsp/orsa.html.
ORSA is offering two workshops on NSF FastLane this month which will cover
how to prepare and submit proposals and convert files to PDF, along with an
overview of the other modules available in the system. We strongly
encourage all faculty PIs and department grant administrators who currently
have or plan to request NSF grants to attend a FastLane workshop. This is a
hands-on training session with ample time for questions (and it's free!).
The workshops are scheduled for:
* Wednesday, September 13, 1:30-3:30 pm
* Tuesday, September 19, 1:30-3:30 pm
Both will be held in the UO Employee Training Facility Lab, Suite 302
University Center Building, 720 E 13th Ave. (across from Sacred Heart
Hospital on 13th).
Call ORSA at 6-5131 (or send an e-mail to
Research_Services@orsa.uoregon.edu) to sign up for either workshop.
