grant-admin-arch: Grant-Admin-News: Budget Rates for AY 2000-01

The updated budget rates for grants are now available on ORSA's web site
under Proposal Preparation and Submission - Budget Elements located at
http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~orsp/be-toc.html.   Highlights of the changes
are listed below. The rates are effective for AY 2000-01 and beyond.

1.  A 1.25% salary increase for GTFs is slated for March 2001;  
2.  GTF medical insurance costs have increased and individual rates are
posted, along with an annual average total for TBA positions;
3.  Grants will cover part of the non-instructional fees for GTFs, charged
at $150.50 per term (no F&A will be assessed on fees);
4.  Student hourly wages top out at $13/hr without prior written approval of
Human Resources;
5.  Travel rates have gone up slightly, effective October 1;
6.  Tuition for GTFs and graduate trainees is slightly higher than projected
for this AY and future years.

The "Quick Reference Card" with the current rates is also available as a PDF
file and can be printed out (2-sided) for easy reference.
