ORSA premiers new web site at http://orsa.uoregon.edu -- Please Bookmark!

The University of Oregon Office of Research Services and Administration
(ORSA) is launching its newly redesigned web site on Friday October 6, 2000.


The new design features eight major topic areas, each readily accessible by
clicking on tabs from the top menu bar:  ORSA, Training, Grant Manual,
Proposals, Awards, Other Resources, Reports, and News.

Each major topic has subtopic sections, with a navigation menu appearing on
the left margin of each screen.  For example, under Proposals, there are
direct links to 8 subtopics and 2 additional related topics, all containing
documents relevant to Proposals.

The new web site was designed for easy use and future growth  
* navigation tabs accessible from any screen
* links and contact information at the bottom of each page
* many screens and documents featuring a rich set of links embedded in the
text
* a site search tool. 

The home page of our previous address will automatically forward you to the
new web, and barring any problems, the previous web will be dismantled on
Wednesday, October 11.  After that time, attempting to access any page on
our old site will cause a "Not Found" error message to appear.  

We suggest you bookmark the new site now.  This ensures you have all the
latest information related to proposals and awards.  ORSA invites your
comment on the new web site and would appreciate your letting us know of any
problems or glitches you may find.  To report a problem, click on the
"Report a Problem" email link at the bottom of each page.
