GIFT OR GRANT: Seeking and Managing Funds from Private Sources
A workshop for faculty, staff, and administrators on
November 29, 2000, 2:30-4:30 pm,   Walnut Room-EMU

The directors of the Office of Research Services and Administration
(ORSA), Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR), and the UO Foundation
will discuss the policies and procedures for obtaining funds from
private foundations, corporations and individual donors.  Common
questions will be addressed such as:  
"Is a donation a gift if something in return is expected?"  
"Will indirect costs be charged if a grant is made to the UO
Foundation?" 
"Can a gift or grant to the University earn interest?"
