Grant-Admin-News: NIH Regional Seminar in Portland, OR
UO Faculty and staff are invited to attend the NIH Regional Seminar on
Program Funding and Grants Administration
June 7 and 8, 2001, in Portland, Oregon at the Hilton Hotel.
Sponsored Projects Administration of Oregon Health Sciences University
is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the semi-annual NIH
Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration, June 7th
& 8th. This seminar serves the NIH mission of providing education and
training for all levels of biomedical and behavioral scientists.
Topics of discusssion will include the application and review process,
scientific peer review, electronic research, grant administration, human
subjects/animal welfare, compliance issues, clinical trials, conflict of
interest and intellectual property. NIH faculty members will be
presenting all sessions, and the keynote speaker will be Stephen Straub,
M.D., director of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative
Medicine (NCCAM).

The registration fee is $200 per person, which includes all seminar
sessions, documentation, breakfast and lunch for two days, plus an
opportunity to meet and talk with NIH faculty members. Sponsored

Hilton, June 7th, from 5 to 6 p.m.
