A live satellite video conference on "Compliance Issues Impacting
Financial Research Administration" will be broadcast in the University
of Oregon Knight Library (Studio A) on May 15, 2001, from 8:30 am to
12:30 pm.  ORSA has subscribed to the broadcast for local viewing and
attendance is free to all UO faculty and staff.  

Sponsored by the National Council of University Research Administrators
(NCURA), this presentation will focus on aspects of financial compliance
that primarily affect research administrators in departments and in
centralized post-award accounting, both the tangible documentation and
the "spirit" of complying with agency rules and regulations.  Also
covered by expert panelists from Vanderbilt University, Harvard, SUNY,
and PricewaterhouseCoopers:
*	Strategies for enhancing compliance 
*	Consequences for failure to comply
*	Perspectives on the intent of complying
