Grant-Admin-News: NSF FastLane Training
The National Science Foundation (NSF) now requires that ALL grant
proposals be submitted electronically through the web-based NSF FastLane
system. FastLane must be used for award administration functions, and
annual and final project reporting, as well.
The UO Office of Research Services and Administration (ORSA) is offering
a training session on NSF FastLane this week, Thursday, October 25, from
1:30-3:30 pm, at the UO Employee Training Facility, Suite 302 University
Center Building, 720 E 13th Ave. (across from Sacred Heart Hospital on
13th and next to the Dairy Queen). This computer-based workshop is
open to all faculty principal investigators who plan to submit
proposals to NSF or currently have grants from NSF, and to department
grant administrators who assist PIs with their proposals and awards.
The workshop takes you through the proposal preparation module
step-by-step, and includes useful information on how to convert files to
PDF. Both the UO's and NSF's proposal preparation and submission
guidelines are covered, along with an overview of the other modules
available in FastLane. This is a hands-on training session with ample
time for questions (and it's free!).
Call ORSA at 6-5131 (or send an e-mail to
Research_Services@orsa.uoregon.edu) to sign up for this workshop.
