Grant-Admin-News: NIH Forms and Modular Grants Workshop
ORSA is giving a workshop on the new NIH application forms and Modular
Grants process for faculty Principal Investigators (PIs) and Department
Grant Administrators (DGAs) on Wednesday, November 21, 2:30-4:30 p.m.,
in the Maple Room-EMU. The new forms will be covered in the first hour
and Modular Grants in the second hour. PIs and DGAs are invited to
attend either or both parts.
The new forms, available for new, competing continuation, and
non-competing continuation applications, must be used in all
applications beginning January 10, 2002. They are available in several
formats: Portable Document Format (PDF), Rich Text Format (RTF), and MS
WORD. Some notable changes from the old application are a longer
Biographical Sketch form and inclusion only of selected peer-reviewed
publications or manuscripts in press.
This is your opportunity to learn more about the Modular Grants
application process. All proposals requesting up to $250,000 in direct
costs each year must be submitted as Modular applications. NIH has
special format and content requirements for Modular applications, and
proposals that do not comply will not be reviewed. The workshop will
cover these requirements, recent changes made by NIH, and the UO's
instructions for preparing a budget using specially-designed
spreadsheets.
Please call ORSA at 6-5131 to register for this workshop.
