Grant Admin News: Spring Seminar Series



ORSA is now taking registrations for spring term workshops on research
administration. The seminars and computer labs will interest both
department grant administrators and faculty PIs. Currently scheduled are
the following sessions: 

Research Administration 101--A general overview of sponsored programs
administration at UO and other information. April 23, 8:30-11:30am,
McKenzie Conference Room, ORSA, Riverfront Research Park.

NSF FastLane (computer lab)--Using the web-based system from NSF for
proposal preparation, reports, status checks, extensions, and other
uses. April 23, 3:00-5:00pm and April 24, 9:00-11am, FIS Lab, 13th &
Hilyard St.

Cost Transfers for Grants and Contracts--Learn what you need to know so
that your journal vouchers "pass audit and ORSA muster". April 30,
9-11am. Alsea Room-EMU.

Activity Reporting--Learn how the new effort reporting system works
(including cost sharing), and how forms should be completed. May 2,
9-11am. Alsea Room-EMU.

Closeouts--A general overview of the grant/contract closeout process,
including fun facts about file retention. May 13, 9-11am. Alsea
Room-EMU. 9-11am.

Proposal Clearance--Proposal clearance and submission, including the PPS
system. May 22, 9-11am. Alsea Room-EMU.

register for any of these courses.
