Sponsored Projects Administrator Positions Open



The Office of Research Services and Administration has openings for two
Sponsored Projects Administrators (SPA).  Applications are invited from
all qualified faculty and staff, and will be reviewed beginning August
26.  A summary of the SPA position follows:


Sponsored Projects Administrator (TWO OPENINGS)

The Sponsored Projects Administrator (SPA) serves as a member of a team
of professionals in the University of Oregon's Office of Research
Services and Administration (ORSA), the central administrative office
for grants and contracts totaling over $74M last year.  ORSA provides a
full range of services to the faculty for proposal preparation and
submission, award administration, and project close out, including grant
accounting and financial reporting.  The SPAs work with faculty and
staff in assigned units on all aspects of grant and contract
administration:   proposal and budget preparation; review, approval and
submission of proposals to external funding sources; negotiation and
acceptance of awards; preparation of contracts and subagreements;
monitoring project compliance with award terms; financial oversight and
reporting; approvals for administrative changes; close outs and
transfers.  The SPAs also provide training to the campus in grant
administration and participate in special projects.  A complete position

This is a full-time, 12-month position with annual renewable contract as
an Officer of Administration (OA).  Salary is commensurate with
experience, within a range of $40,000 to $60,000 annually. The UO
provides excellent fringe benefits.
