Grant Admin News: VideoConference on Subawards--Managing Collaborative Projects

A live broadcast via satellite from Washington, D.C., on "Subawards and
Subcontracts:  A Workshop Primer on Managing Collaborative Projects,"
will be available in the Library Media Services-Studio A for all
interested faculty and staff on Tuesday, March 4, beginning at 8:30 am.


The broadcast is part of NCURA's (National Council of University
Research Administrators)  2003 Video Workshop Series, subscribed to by
ORSA for UO faculty and staff who work with grant proposals and awards. 

This session will address the special issues of multi-institution
projects involving several principal investigators, department
administrators, sponsored projects offices, accountants and compliance
coordinators.  Issues include writing subagreements and contract
negotiations, building budgets and sharing costs, expenditure and
progress reports, and sole source procurements.  Panelists will discuss
topics such as subawards vs. subcontracts, the FAR (Federal Acquisition
Regulations) flowdown clauses, OMB Circular A-110 requirements, and
subagreement or contract clauses.
